Jewellery should bring joy, not itchy skin. But for years, it did just that.
I first fell in love with jewellery at 17 while working in a jewellery store, mesmerized by gemstones, metals, and the stories behind them. But back then, starting my own jewellery brand? That felt like a far-off dream.
As someone with a nickel allergy (and a student budget), finding pieces that were both affordable and skin-friendly felt impossible. I can’t count how many times I put on a beautiful necklace or earrings, crossed my fingers, and hoped for the best - only to end up with unbearably itchy skin ten minutes later.
One afternoon, while tidying my room, I found a pile of jewellery I had bought just before the pandemic - tarnished, forgotten and never worn. Beautiful pieces I couldn’t wear, no matter how much I loved them.
That moment was a wake-up call. Why was I still trying my luck, hoping to find the perfect piece, when I could just create it myself?
That’s exactly what I did.
Months of research, late nights, and endless trial and error later, MISSA & KISSA was born in September 2021 - a brand dedicated to people like me (and maybe you, too).
Timeless, high-quality jewellery that’s accessible and safe for sensitive skin - so you can wear what you love, without worry.
Because feeling good in your jewellery should never be a gamble.
Since launching, we’ve experienced significant growth and recognition in a short time, all thanks to the incredible support from our customers and community. Knowing that our jewellery has been part of our customers' most cherished memories brings me immense joy (and sometimes tears!)
