The 5th Christmas of Packing Gifts

This is MISSA & KISSA's 5th Christmas since I started it.

Every year around this time, it looks pretty similar - boxes everywhere, stickers running out faster than expected, packing almost nonstop.

Gifts slowly take over the orders, with different names and addresses filling the screen.

It hit me again

Somewhere in the middle of all that, I found myself thinking again about the fact that many of these pieces are on someone’s Christmas wish list.

Someone actually asked for MISSA & KISSA. For Christmas.

Christmas has always felt like the most special (& stressful) time of year for gifting. It’s not just about buying something nice. It’s about choosing the thing. The one that shows you really know the person. The one they might've been thinking about for ages.

The dopamine hit

Growing up, I hardly ever asked for specific gifts. If I did, it meant I’d really been thinking about it for days, sometimes months. I remember that weird mix of excitement and nerves while waiting, wondering if it would actually happen.

And then there was the moment of unwrapping it.

That rush.... like my whole brain lighting up at once. The full-body euphoria and the smile so big that hurt my jaw.

Now, years Later

It still feels surreal to think that something I made might give someone else that same feeling.

The Heart necklace I just packed could be under your tree.
Our dangly earrings might end up in your xmas PJ pic this year.
A piece of our jewellery could become part of how this Christmas is remembered.

I don’t think I’ll ever fully get used to that.

Out of everything out there, someone chose my jewellery!!!

If you’re gifting MISSA & KISSA this Christmas, or hoping to receive it, thank you for trusting my work with something so meaningful ❤️
